Day 5 of the OurCraves 7-Days to Deeper Self Love Challenge is to pamper yourself.
Pampering is one of those things that tends to look different on everyone. Some of us may enjoy long, hot baths, while others prefer a good foot soak and some quick grooming. Each to their own, I think we can all agree that being pampered every now and then is sublime, and leaves one feeling refreshed, relaxed and ready to take on a new day.
You don’t have to be a girly-girl, and you don’t have to spend a fortune, – you don’t even have to do an entire routine either. Simply think of the one thing you know your body needs, that you’ve been neglecting.
It may be that your hands are need some TLC, or your hair feels brittle and could benefit from an oil mask. Perhaps you haven’t exfoliated in months (it happens), or you couldn’t get around to giving yourself a mani or pedi. Make some time to do just that.
There are lots of quick and easy recipes that you can whip up using some kitchen staples for natural masks and exfoliators, which means that you don’t need to keep putting it off, thinking that you need a small fortune for a day at the spa.
Make an hour available for yourself tonight. Light some candles, play your favourite music, unwind and treat yourself. Chocolate, light reads and journaling are welcome additions too 😉
As women, many of us are guilty of giving all of ourselves to our family and friends, which is a great exercise in love and selflessness. But imagine we gave just a portion of that devotion to ourselves? What a place the world would be.
