The OurCraves 7-Days to Deeper Self Love Challenge

Hi everyone!

As you may already know, I had previously decided that the OurCraves brand would focus more on lifestyle and the general practice of healthy habits going forward, and this week I thought that we could focus on Self Love.

Self love is something we’ve been hearing a lot about in the media, but what is it, and how do we implement it in our lives? Well, self love is the act of regarding your own well-being as important, and practicing kindness to one’s self. There are countless ways by which to achieve this, but this week-long challenge simply seeks to inspire you to take better care of yourself every day, and includes a straightforward, easy-to-implement principle to practice for each of the seven days.

As I woman, I know that this is an area that many of us may struggle with, and it’s a concept that men regard to be feminine. Friends, self love is for everyone, and that includes YOU. If you still require convincing, one of my favourite quotes on this matter is,

You can’t fill from an empty cup.

Take care of yourself first.

 

I deliberately chose to start this programme at a ‘random’ time of the month, since our human nature usually pushes us to say, “I’ll start xyz next month,” or next week, on Monday, or sometimes even next year. And while it is nice to package things neatly into weeks, or specific months, it’s important not to put them off entirely.

So, welcome to the Our Craves 7-Days to Deeper Self Love Challenge.

Each day, we will practice one principle of self love. These steps will not be complex, nor will we cram tons of new ideas into one week.

We’ll practice some of the steps everyday, while we’ll aim to commit to performing other steps a couple of times during the week. To use everyday tasks as an example, we brush our teeth every day, while we probably only do laundry once or twice a week.

 

How does the challenge work?

Each day of the seven days will have it’s own challenge that will be communicated via the blog and Instagram.
